The live vernacular traditions of buildings, in regional environments, have remained rather invisible from the world. This illustrated talk will compare the built landscapes through the complex inter-relationship of geo-climatic forces, society, and sustainability.

Prof. Miki Desai retired from CEPT University in 2014 as the Head of the Master’s Program in Sustainable Architecture, the Faculty of Architecture, Ahmedabad, India after teaching there from 1981 onwards.
