Applications to Amafa

During the 2013 financial year Amafa used the sahris online system for applications.  This system proved to be very unwieldy to operate, both for applicants and Amafa staff.  Processing timeframes were lengthened and there were numerous times when the system did not operate at full capacity.  These problems have been exacerbated in the past two months.  Sahris is trying to rectify the problems.

However, Amafa has taken the decision to switch to email applications until such time as it can develop a online system through its own website www.heritagekzn.co.za.

Please forward this mail and the attached Amafa forms and guidelines to your members as soon as possible.  These forms can be emailed together with the necessary attachments to beadmin@amafapmb.co.za.

Permits will be issued in a similar way to that which we used previously but a scanned version will be emailed to applicants/consultants, together with a scan of an A4 stamped version of the drawings submitted.

Those applicants with cases lodged on sahris are urged to complete the appropriate form and email to us in order to facilitate the processing of their applications.

We will notify institutes when we have an alternate online system up and running.  Unfortunately, some of the options available on Sahris like the online viewing of applications for public participation purposes will no longer be available.
