Position: Architect or Architectural Technologist

Durban Based Practice

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Architect or Architectural Technologist to join our team.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of construction site experience, along with proficiency in construction documentation and software, specifically ArchiCAD. This position requires extensive travel to the Free State and possibly other provinces, including overnight stays and long-distance travel. Therefore, candidates must have their own vehicle.

Location: Windermere, Durban

Responsibilities:

Produce high-quality construction documentation using ArchiCAD software.
Conduct on-site assessments and provide technical support during the construction phase.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet client requirements and adhere to regulatory standards.
Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling and budgeting (advantageous).
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
Minimum of 2 years of construction site experience.
Proficiency in ArchiCAD software.
Strong understanding of construction documentation.
Ability to travel extensively within South Africa and stay overnight when necessary.
Must have own vehicle.
Registration with SACAP (South African Council for the Architectural Profession) is preferred.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
