CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR THE AUGUST 2016 KZNIA JOURNAL
The August 2016 KZNIA Journal is featuring women in the architectural profession.
All women who are (and have been) part of the architectural profession are encouraged to be part of this publication. These may include: previous women graduates from both DUT and UKZN, practicing women, women employed at practices, women academics, women students, as well as women who are working in government and industry.
AIMS:
Showing our diversity as a group
An opportunity to say what we want to say
Show different ways of being an architect
Hear about different journeys
Share experiences of work-life balance
Show the roles we play as women – at home and at work
Talk about issues of gender within the profession
Share experiences of raising children whilst maintaining a career
Showcase our creative work, awards, accolades, families
Include all types of visual material – drawings, photographs, artwork
The content could be anything you wish to express.
Content that could contribute to showing the richness of our diversity.
It could be the roles we don’t often get to talk about.
This Journal is structured in a different way, allowing for choice in the material submitted.
There is sufficient space for all of us.
